December Schedule

We will not be curling on December 22 or the 29th this year.  The last week before the new year will be our Christmas Social on Thursday December 15th starting at 6:30 pm.  See the Post about the Social below. 

We return to play on January 5th.

Christmas Social

It's almost time for our Christmas Party!   This year, we will be playing a short four-ender for fun before we have our party and gift exchange.  Teams B, C, D and E will play from 6:30 to 7:30;  teams F, G, H and I will play from 7:45 to 8:45.

The gift exchange was so much fun last year we decided to do it again!  All those that wish to participate (it is optional) bring a wrapped (deceptively if you wish) gift for the exchange.  The gift should be new and can be pretty much anything you wish: baked goods, a regift, funny or nice, but whatever it is it should NOT cost you more than $20 MAX!!   Everyone who brings a gift participates and gets a gift. 

We will supply punch and pop for all designated drivers. 

The Season Has Begun!!

Welcome back curlers!  We make up a total of nine (9) teams this year resulting in Thursday night play only and one bye for each nine weeks of play.  The new schedule is posted on the board and on this blog.

Still looking for ideas for our Bonspiel theme for this year....and a new President, Vice and Treasurer for next year....

The 2011-2012 Season is Almost Upon Us!

Yes, it's time to start thinking about curling in Keene this year.  We expect the season will start at the beginning of November this year.  In the mean time,  we are asking you to talk to your friends and team mates from previous years and to organize your teams for this year.

Registration will be ongoing from the time you receive your newsletter and registration sheet up until Friday October 21st.  The newsletter is being organized and should be on its way to you near the beginning of October.

KBL Bonspiel Coming Up Fast - Feb 4th and 5th!

The theme of this years bonspiel is "Fun in the Sun"!  Dressing up in theme related costumes, as always, is optional though it's also always fun to see the imaginative creations everyone pulls together!  The Bonspiel Schedule is shown below.  There are no games scheduled on Wednesday the 2nd or Thursday the 3rd  of the week.

What a Great Show!

The Curling Fashion Show was a great success!  A Big THANK-YOU to all our models: Carol, Mary, Carolyn, Beth, Dayna, Erin and, the men, Michael, Dave and Tim for their willingness to clown around a bit to show off the new fashions and equipment in curling supplies!  and to Marion for being the Master of Ceremony for the show!  There certainly was a lot to say - who knew curling was so technical?

It was great to see our League members out supporting the League and the Club last night.  It was a fun night and as Quinte Curling Supplies also had a good night with visitors and purchasers from our club and others, the Business Ladies should realize something from this towards our fundraising efforts - we won't know what till late next spring but we'll let you know!
